Betty Smith and Mollie Chapman at Pimlico in 1931

April 27, 1931 b/w glossy press photo labeled on back: "Fair Turf Fans at Pimlico Opening; The fair sex turned out en masse for the opening day of the spring meeting of the Maryland Jockey Club, at Pimlico, MD. Among them was Betty Smith, left, and Mollie Chapman, of Short Hills, New Jersey." There is a 3" w x 1/4" high bite out of the bottom edge of the photo, in addition to bumped corners, light rippling, primarily along the bottom edge and left side of the photo, and light yellowing and soiling on the back of the photo. Photo is filed under Mollie Chapman's name in the "C" people file. See also the similar photo filed under Bettie Smith's name in the People file.
