Photograph
Israel Dodd Condit (1802-1897) was an organizer of the Morris & Essex Railroad, helping to bring it through what is now Millburn. In 1826, he married Caroline Eagelsfield, whose father owned a paper mill in Millburn. which Condit & Elijah Smith purchased. He made fortune through paper and hat manufacturing.
