Above is the Paper Mill Playhouse, quarter-of-a-million dollar theatre, nestled in the little town of Millburn, NJ, amid the exclusive Short Hills District. here on August 14, Irene Castle, famous dancer and actress, will end her long retirement from the legitimate theatre when she appears as "Vicky" in "Tonight at Eight-thirty" inaugurating the first New Jersey Theatre Festival. Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, wife of the President, will head the committee of sponsors.
Photo has three marks on border and is slightly rippled. On the back, is stamped text: Photo by Acme Newspictures, Inc. (etc) It also has an aged paper adhered relating to Ms. Castle and her comeback, stamped with "Roto" and "Aug 20 1939."
