Brison: Benjamin Whitney Benson Resignation from Beekman Fire Insurance Company, 1872

Letter from Benjamin Whitney Benson dated New York, January 10, 1872, thanking the Directors of the Beekman Fire Insurance Company for their treatment of him, whilst he served as President from 1853-1872. The company was dissolved in 1872 following the Chicago fire. Verso of letter contains handwritten names and amounts refunded. Among the names listed are: Brisby and Condit.
