Revolutionary War: "Old Sow" Signal Beacon Plaque, 1975

Photographs of the “Old Sow” Cannon and Signal Beacon Plaque located at 226 Hobart Ave. (Near the intersection of Beacon Rd.) in Summit, New Jersey. The Beacon and Cannon were used to alert local militiamen of danger during the Revolutionary War and, in the case, before the Battle of Springfield. Photographs were taken by Harvey Reed in April 1975.
