The letter, which was saved by the Hartshorn family, attests to the longevity of the Shade Rollers and loyalty of customers. The letter reads as follows: Dear Sir, Just a work of recommendation for Hartshorn Shade Rollers. I thought it might be interesting to you to know I have eighteen Hartshorn Self-Acting Shade Rollers bought from Hahne & Co. in April 1889. These rollers have been in sonstant use since that time. Not one of them have ever been out of order. This is excellent service and a satisfied customer. Yours very truly, Mary M. Roll.
