Hurricane: Aftermath, November 24, 1950

Photograph of a giant tree that was toppled during the massive Hurricane that hit Millburn November 24-25, 1950. The hurricane brought 100 mile/hour winds and, according to the Millburn-Short Hills Item, damaged every building in the township. Power and phone service was out for 80% of the township for at least a day and was still out for 30% of the township for over a week.
