Casa Colombo Pinback Pin

Object/Artifact
1930 pinback pin from Casa Colombo, apparently to celebrate Columbus Day in Millburn and raise money for the "Casa Colombo Free Public Library Fund." The pin has a badly damaged shred of a bit of (an American?) flag hanging from the bottom. The pin has little-to-no damage. On the front of the pin is an image of Christopher Columbus and "Casa Colombo; Millburn, N.J.; Oct. 12-13; 1930." The back of the pin is marked: "The Whitehead & Hoag Co.; Buttons; badges; novelties; and signs; Newark, N.J." Purchased on eBay from Herbert G. Bachmann; 110 Franklin Avenue; Ocean Grove NJ 08856
