Letter from Samuel B. Parsil to his father dated December 28, 1862, while serving with the 27th NJ Infantry at Camp opposite Fredricksberg, Virginia. They were in battle, but not under direct fire.Mentions inspection review from General Sumner. John Ayer and Henry Sprigg came to see him. Mentions Charlie McChesney. Describes the tents.
