Greystone Cottage Front, 177 Hobart Avenue, 1880

Photograph
Greystone Cottage was designed by architect Arthur B. Jennings and built in 1880. It is featured in the "Sticks, Shingles & Stones" and the July 12, 1884 issue of American Architect and Building News. The house was one of the earliest constructed in Short Hills Park and was occupied by William R. Bliss. It appears in several contemporary depictions of Hartshorn's Short Hills development.
