Oral History
21-page transcription of interview on Feb. 27, 2024 (recording of interview will be added). Mrs. Piszar is a third-generation Millburnite living at 186 Main Street, where she grew up. Many recollections of late 1950s-early 1960s including information on tightly knit Italian-American community in that part of town; remembers the Fandango Mill, the last to operate in Millburn, lots of flavor on the neighborhood with mention of many old businesses including a stable where horses would be shod on Sundays; remembers the first home to have a television in the neighborhood and the phone line was still a party line in her childhood.
