DescriptionClay heart made by then-Glenwood School kindergartener Lester Volker, for his Mother's Day gift. The heart has a scalloped edge and a flower and birds etched into the bowl of the heart. The back has scratched into it "L.V." and "H." beneath it. The heart is unglazed with dots of brown paint around the scalloped edge. Donated by Gail Engelschjon, who ran an estate sale in Lester Volker's parents' home in about 2003, then again for the son, Lester Volker, who died in about 2009. The heart came from one of those two estate sales.
