Millburn Feed: Kibble Bin, c. 1940

Object/Artifact
Ken-L Biskit kibble bin purchased from the business sale of owners Joan and Robert Boiles, owners of Millburn Feed Company, this bin came from the pet food business that was Millburn Feed when it was owned by Robert's father Harry Boiles. Guesstimating its age at about 1940. Paper-sided bin has stains, short pieces of tape, and torn pieces of label at the bottom, primarily on one side only. Metal rim at top of can is loose and dropped down over the label a bit. No lid and bottom is metal. Inside paper side of bin shows overall foxing. Vertical seam on outside of can is slightly peeled back and has evidence of having been taped. Overall fading of graphics on outside of bin/drum.
